Removing Iron Shine

The problem with some of these vintage worsted wools is that they were badly pressed 80 years ago and now we have to pay for it. I just got a beautiful 1933 dated blue herringbone suit....but large parts of it are shiny...the gorge at the lapel, the cuffs. How can I try to reduce or remove this?
Theoretically, dry cleaning would lift the fibers when it is being soaked in the solution...but would that be enough?

Try brushing it carefully with a fine suede brush(brass wire bristles). Don't overdo it. The idea is to loosen the nap back up and restore the space between the individual threads.

I once read a comment about gaberdine that is overpressed tha said spraying with vinegar would do the trick. ODn't know if it works or works on all fabrics.
