Remix Shoes!!

Have you ladies seen this new shoe from Remix? I'm quite interested in it, but would love to see if any one already owns them and can give me their opinion. I'm a little turned off by their heel height (2 5/7") for an everyday shoe, but if they are counting the platform, it is really only a little over 2". I'm stumped between getting these or getting the twin-strap wedge for an everyday shoe.

I was looking at buying these wedge sandals:

But I am worried about the chunky-ness of the wedge. Does anyone know if they are as chunky as they look in the picture? They will be worn with an evening gown and a cocktail dress. Any thoughts?

amazingly, the price is $51.00. If these are built on the same last as the Gloria, which i just received, they fit a bit large, as in a 9 fits my normally 9.5 foot, with socks.
For the price, if your eye was on the Studio style, they might be for you.
I have a pair of vintage gold wedges from my mother in law that look so much like them, but are horribly uncomfortable. I know she wore them with a cocktail dress.

ugh, I don't know whether to send you flowers or give you lump of coal for being naughty, crwritt, but thanks to you I got the Gilda in the soft gold, just in time for the holidays (that's my reasoning and I'm sticking to it!)

Now to explain the mexican hand-tooled remix shoes I got on Ebay to the hubby along with these new ones - and I'm not sure "but honey, they were so cheap" is gonna fly.

I hope you enjoy the Gildas, Inky. I was so tempted to get them too, the least I could do was spread the word. The reason I bought the Glorias in red was a post from Lily Powers in the cute vintagey shoes thread.
Miss Bella, I'm pretty sure 9 and 9m us are the same. The Glorias I got say 9 m on both shoe and box.
As far as what to wear them with, a happy smile would be just the ticket!

Hey, I thought I heard my name mentioned! Before I ordered my wedges from Amazon, I researched that 7M and 7M US sizing thing and there is no difference. The Re-Mix website's sizing chart only makes mention of "7M" and the Greta wedges I bought from them last year are marked on the box and shoe as "7M," so I went for it. They arrived and I am so in love. Wore them all day today (ok, granted, a few hours were spent off my feet in a movie and at a cafe, but still, they were comfortable from the second I put them on.)

If the price is good, go for it. Amazon's return policy is good and they are prompt about issuing refunds.

Okay, Miss BellaHell, it took me long enough, but here's a shot of the soft gold Gilda's I got back in December. I normally wear a 10 and I got the 10 and they were a tad loose in the heel, so I put a pair of those soft silicone heel pads in and they are perfect. I have worn them a few times with gray wool trousers. I know they will be my new summer sandal once the weather warms up - they are super comfy!

I was surprised they fit, and shocked the heel cup was slipping, because I have a wider than normal foot (but usually 10W is too big, unless the shoe is cut very narrow, like my Bass Weejuns are 10W) and a high instep. I didn't think that band across the top would work, but it has the elastic bit and gave me plenty of room.

now if only i could dance in those (but i'd break my neck, haha)

You should mention that those shoes run true to size! The wedges don't but the heels do, in my experience.
