This reminds me of the Schlumpf car collection, amassed in secret by two brothers who ran an industrial textile factory in Mulhouse, France. They bought and restored a great number of classic cars (focussing principally on Bugattis) in secret at a disused part of the factory. It was only following a strike by workers in the 1970s, when they broke into the disused warehouse, that the collection was discovered. It is now a car museum, and I haven't been there since I was a young boy but it is a truly amazing collection of several hundred vehicles (only a part of the original collection). Well worth seeing if ever passing through the Alsace!
