Reindeer Finish?

I came across this term perusing everyone's favorite auction site. It was stamped on the sweatband of a Stephen L. Stetson (not to be confused with John B. Stetson) fedora. Does anyone have any idea as to what it might mean? I've searched the archives here, and the internet, both to no avail.

One day a Russian czar named Rudolph was looking out the window and stated, “It’s going to rain.”

The czarina replied, “I believe it will be sleet. How can you be sure, my love?”

He authoritatively replied, “Because Rudolph the Red knows rain, dear!”

(Sorry.)

BUMP (AGAIN)

One last time before I give up on trying to figure out what "Reindeer Finish" means.

Anyone?

Resisting the strong lure of the joke, one would think it would be similar to the designation of kitten finish seen on other hats. That is, it's simply their brand name for a type of fuzzy soft felt finish.

This makes sense...and this particular hat compay had already been brought to court for using the name of another hat company ("Stetson"), so would perhaps be wary of using a term to describe its finish that other hat companies use.

a guess...

Only speculating here, but maybe it's marked "Reindeer Finish" to have a prospective buyer associate with a reindeer's "coat" the rainproof-ness and snowflurry-repelling qualities of this SLS model*?!

(...but prolly just 'cuz it's fuzzy...) :)
