Hi All,

Sometime back Dinerman passed along a jacket that I greatly admired & as seen here https://vintagehaberdashers.com/2012/10/31/monarch-leather-jacket/. Subsequently, I came up with my own design.

This redesigned Monarch Aviator of mine was spawned by Dinerman's original aviator style Monarch. Albeit, remodeled utilizing some of my own twists from Dinerman's referenced Monarch jacket. Ultimately & to add to it's authenticity patterned using a same original 1st generation style black horsehide jacket which can be seen here http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/show-us-your-vintage-half-belts.54936/page-15#post-2212890 . That resulting combination can seen below.

Enjoy!

Cheers, Dave

Wow you MADE it? Gorgeous! The color looks VERY close to my russet Vincenza from Aero!

VERY impressive!

I could make that jacket . . . . if John Chapman was standing on my right, Julie Leitch was standing to my left, David Himel was standing behind me . . . and I moved out of their way.

Like I said, merely attempting such an endeavor is commendable. Producing a jacket of that caliber is nothing short of extraordinary.

BTW, I know of others in our community that dream of making jackets themselves. I ain't mentioning any names, but you are no doubt an inspiration to them.
