Greetings:
Are there accepted ratios (length-to-width) for determining if a wearer is a wide oval, standard oval, or long oval? I would suspect that in considering hats like a straw boater or a bowler it would be helpful to have a sense what the terms mean -- not much give in some of those hats. Or do you just screw it on and see?
I'm considering a hat that is offered in all three ovals but I don't have the experience to make an educated guess.
