Ralph Lauren Whitely Pants

I recently picked up a pair of "whitely pants" by Polo Ralph Lauren. I was wondering if anyone had some background info on these trousers (i.e. when they were released, and etc)?

If I had a digital camera I would post pictures, but they are a full cut, brown tweed with a buckle back, button fly, outside suspender buttons and about a navel high rise. Very 30's-esque.

I have several pairs of RRL 30's style pants, both dress and work pants. They all have high rises, suspender buttons, button flies (flys?), and cinch backs. Well made too, surprisingly. Excellent fabrics. Much too expensive to purchase retail, but they pop up in thrift stores often and, of course, on eBay.
