Good evening gents!

My Rainbow Country A-2 arrived today from McFly Japan!!
Was sooo nervous opening the box, is it going to fit well??

My size 40 Aero Bronco A-2 got too tight on me after gaining some muscle in my garage gym (Is posting a link to my Instagram allowed? Well here it is anyway if you want to check it out - https://www.instagram.com/tiny.mayhem/), so wanted to go up a size to 42.
McFly had a size 44 in stock, and all the measurements seemed spot on. I had them double check the measurements and send me pics of the measurements, and finally pulled the trigger.

8 days of nerves later, the jacket is here and I think it fits pretty well!!

What do you guys think?

It could be a little shorter in the body, but all things considered, I think you got a good fit. I would rather have it just a little long than just a little short. For me a little short is a whole lot too short.
I like the extra length, and I think once the leather breaks in and creases, it will sit a bit higher?

Very nice A2, I really like the contrast of the dark leather and the knits.
It’s probably a little looser than it needs to be, but as someone who owns a couple of these myself, I appreciate that that extra leather is what makes this pattern comfortable and allows you to move while wearing an A2

You‘re a brave man. The last person to post a picture of himself in a japanese made A2 and ask for opinions got slammed for over 5 pages :D

I think it's a good fit. This is how I would like to wear it. An A2 should be relaxed and comfy (my opinion), definitely not a cafe racer. Also, especially with the ribbed bottom, I would err on the longer side than shorter. I don't like how the ribs feel when the jacket is too short-- it's like the leather ends on the mid back and then all you have on the navel area is this loose thin ribbing.

I like how the sleeves aren't huge wide tree trunks. Some G1's and A2's have comically wide sleeves which I've been told are "period correct." If anything, the sleeves right now are maybe a half-inch too long, which causes the wrist ribbing to tuck in too much. But as the sleeves wrinkle more, it should take care of itself. Most importantly, 99.9% of the world doesn't care about wrist ribbing!

Enjoy it! Congrats on scoring a size 44! Sell it to me when you're tired of it!

Sleeves yes. Body not so much.

IMO it is too long. I like the waistband at my waist and not my hip but if you wear low rise pants then perhaps that is the "correct" length for you.
