I've always been interested in old time radio, mainly the old shows. I got some CDs from a fellow Lounger a few months back, a nice mix of old radio series. There is a store down the street owned by an extremely elderly man who repairs old TVs and radios and sells them for peanuts. There are a few cathedral style radios i've been eyeing, but i'm waiting for one in really good condition. He sells them for average $30 or $40. Meanwhile, I just listen to the CDs while i'm in bed drifting off to sleep and pretend they're coming from an old Philco.

Anyway, i'm all for a radio subforum!

Just so you know... Check your local Walgreens. Mine is carrying old radio program CD's for $1. I haven't picked them up or or had the chance to look at them but briefly, so I am not sure what they are about, but... I thought I would pass this along.

Thank you LolitaHaze!! I'll definitely check that out! I also notice Wal-Mart sells old retro cartoon DVDs for a couple bucks each.

I hope you've already discovered http://www.otrfan.com. I've been downloading shows there for nearly two years now - GREAT stuff for anyone, but especially for a starving college student. I stayed up so late listening to shows when I should've been studying...
