Questions about caps style

Can anyone explain where does the style "Spitfire" caps comes from, i.e. why is it called Spitfire? Not sure I've seen much in action, except in a movie "No Reservations" starring Catherine-Zeta Jones and Aaron Eckhardt. That should be Spitfire she's wearing? So, is it a women's cap?

What is the difference between Spitfire and Gatsby cap?

I think the Spitfire has more bill than a Gatsby. I think.

The other question is are they both considered Newsboy Caps?
