I love that undyed leather. Wear it in good health and let the sun and elements do the rest!
Patience with jackets is unfortunately not one of my stronger points so only time will tell.Oh yeah if you did it all the natural way, that would be quite impressive!
Thanks for the advice!I would recommend wiping the whole thing over with water and wearing it while letting it dry. It'll help with shaping it to your body shape but also give an all over 'water mark', which means you don't have to contend with the mottling that you'll get. Also, just brace yourself for the day you get a dirty great mark on it. It'll come, and you'll hate yourself for it, but after a bit of wear you'll stop thinking about it.
The problem is just getting it into the rotation often enough to let the elements work their magic.Yeah, I've spent a lot of my rare downtime during the last eight weeks in some serious online 'window shopping'. Unfortunately / fortunately, as we spent much of last Summer dealing with my hoarding problem, I'd be lviing on borrowed time if I started to bring in a lotmore new stuff without clearing out a bunch first.
Some day I do fancy something in this sort of hide... maybe some kind of hunting vest, so that it will actually get worn out in the Sun and develop. The nearest I've ever had were the natural straps on my LW B3, which gradually went a honey colour. Oh, and the leather slip-case for my Surface, which doubles as a mousemat when it's in use. That was a touch darker to begin with, but now it has dark marks where the machnie edges are in it, probably from rubbing inside another leather bag, the odd inkspot, scuff, coffeemug ring.... it looks great.
I totally agree with you. Will try my best!I would just wear it a lot.
If I were to buy a natural leather jacket I think I’d fight the temptation to do anything with it.
Be the only one that has wear it as is!
Vintage_engineer_boots has done that with the stallion and actually created a competition for it on Instagram.
The jackets without any treatment look their best! Mind you is a different colour and it’s tea core but applies the same.
Oh why oh why did you show those to me?! Next on the hit list. Now you need a pair of natural boots!

Thanks- will be cool putting together looks based on whatever the current shade of color the jacket is in.Looks great on. Fit is spot on. The pale leather goes well with the dark T-shirt.
I’m game for just wearing it- just concerned about the first encounter with water spots. I’m sure I’ll be fine after that hump.I would just wear it a lot.

I’ve noticed my two toddlers staring at me with devilish grins so I’m resigned to the fact that they’ll most likely be the source of my first few stains.Being a charter member of S.A. (Slobberers Anonymous) I could NEVER wear a jacket that light and beautiful. It'd be stained within minutes... something irrevocable, messy and VERY obvious! Enjoy as I live vicariously through you...
Worf
I have very high hopes of putting my own mark on this one like a blank canvas. The jacket is a dream.
unfortunately or luckily this jacket doesn't fit me according to the size chart.
But if it did, I would just wear it without worrying. until it looks like this:

Definitely food for thoughtwhile waiting for my own natural hide jacket, I get more and more worry, and end up buying a final coat creme I plan to put on allover the jacket before I wear it. maybe I will leave some area not protected like straps and small patch pocket to see how much difference it makes, I'm a coffee drinker and naturally clumsy
I watched this comparison video, some give a shade darker, some not, some give nice waterproofing.
Thanks, buddy!Congratulations on this fantastic jacket! It fits you wonderfully, and you totally pull off the raw look- once it starts tanning, it’ll look even better!
