Quality non-leather outerwear brands?

I'm fancying the idea of a high quality cotton or wool jacket, more vintage workwear/military focused. So far my searches have been limited to:

I listed mostly Japanese brands simply because they fit me better. There are also Nigel Cabourn, Scotch & Soda.....

I'll plug those into Rakuten, as they list the measurements on there, and in my experience it's a straightforward ordering process. Even better when there are multiple stores selling the same item, to check if the measurements from multiple stores are identical/nearly identical. Seems a lot of this stuff sells out really fast though!

I'll admit, a lot of this interest besides the obvious elegance and superb materials of these non-leather jackets is that more than a few of them will fit me off the rack! (6'2", LONG arms). Several coats long enough in the body; and to my untrained eye, you can get away with shorter sleeve lengths wearing non-leather.

Also, I'd LOVE to find a B-10 or L-2a in my size, but that's a shattered dream. You guys that can fit into them, don't take it for granted! I'm this close to getting one just to stare at.

That's what I do too. These brands only produce a very limited selection in very small scale each season and they are only carried by a few shops. For example, the Warehouse brands Duckdigger will only produce a specific item when they gather enough orders before the season (a bigger scale Gustin campaign I guess though they do sell them thru outlets after they make the decision).

I figured that's how they did it. While I'm enamoured with the Freewheelers type stuff, it looks like Buzz Rickson is the most obtainable.

Buzz Rickson and Sugar Cane are both under Toyo Enterprise which is a comparatively bigger company with a rather bigger collection and more labels. There are Indian Motorcycle for the biker style and Whitesville for varsity look.
Three new Buzz products this season caught my eyes, they are probably not regular items an early Tanker same pattern as the one worn by Brad Pitt in Fury and a L-2 cloth test sample.

There's a ton of cool workwear styled boutique quality manufacturers out there these days. Aside from the aforementioned JP brands, there are smaller US manufacturers such as Thoroughstitch, Red White & Blue Co, and Hudson's Hill.

Freewheelers has a broad selection of interesting and extremely well made non-leather outerwear. I own this particular Freewheelers' Brodovitch wool jacket:

Another good option is a N-1 deck jacket. Buzz, RMC and certain of the other listed companies make some good ones. I have a thin build and BR's Gibson line works well for me:

That N-1 is a contender. That was the first jacket I looked in to. Several loungers seem to be very happy with it. That one's an option.

I also like both the Buzz and RM peacosts. From what I gather, those are very popular and have a lot of feedback. About a year ago I almost purchased an original one, I think much cheaper than the repros.

Yes, but if you want to save some money dig through a few pages of RL on ebay. The other lines often have stuff that looks like straight from the RRL collection and they go for much less. The rest is just branding.

maybe you should also give a try with "Pike Brothers" - they have some mil-inspired jackets like the N1 (i own one and highly satisfied) - B10 and so on

You're already conssdiering Aero - I can highly recommend the Aero Waterfront. Lovely alternative to leather for Spirng / Autumn.
