A friend from Los Angeles found it. The costume designer used only one jacket for Dennis Quaid.

The leather feels like suede but it's not, the original leather is under the collar ( picture ). She distressed so much the leather that it became suede.

If you watch the last episode you will find all the same details as the jacket I have.

Someone may want it. Might be nice to send it to someone to copy the pattern so others can have a vintage design taken form the real thing.

Honestly I don't want so much , I would like to see if someone can propose a real offer.
Plus Ebay is expensive , last month for 1200 dollars I had to pay 200 dollars and if there is a problem it's Paypal who handle the problem. And I paid 35 dollars Paypal.
This jacket is a vintage piece + the unique jacket from the Vegas set.

Respectfully, Tim's posts in this thread -- his only posts on TFL -- strike me as rank shilling. He is a reseller of movie clothing and this jacket is one of several such items that he is currently selling on Ebay. I personally believe he purchased the jacket with the intent for reselling it and he disingenuously revived this nine month old thread in order to generate interest among vintage leather collectors.

Yes it's my first post here, I'm a member of Filmjackets. In my forum we are not into vintage leather jackets so I thought I will share this jacket with FedoraLounge. My first intention wasn't to sell it but honestly I don' like the color. And this jacket deserves better than staying in my closet. So I would like to apologize if I was misunderstood, it wasn't an evil plan to win money. But i'm not the red cross and I saw several vintage leather jackets sold for few thousand so I don't understand why I have to reduce price. I bought last month a jacket 1500 dollars and she wasn't vintage , she was 5 years old. I'm a collector like my friends on filmjackets but sometimes when you have the jacket in your hands something doesn't feel right, she was better on the actor or on the pictures but on you it's just wrong.
My apologies to the members of FedoraLounge, if the moderator read this you can delete my accompt because I don't like problems and I don't want problems. I will stay in my forum Filmjackets.
By the way sorry for my bad english.

He didn't post the ebay link and didn't promote it.The jacket is out of the price range of many people here, and since it's actually vintage, out of the interest range of the rest. The photos he posted answered questions about the jacket which people here have been asking for months. As much as I dislike it when members show up only to use the classifieds, these posts are well within the scope of the board and have contributed well.

My apologies if I jumped to conclusions. I was surprised when I discovered that Tim has many movie related clothing items for sale on Ebay, such that his sale of this jacket is not an isolated occurrence of such a sales effort. That said, he did provide answers to prior questions about this jacket and thereby contributed to the forum -- thank you for that.

It's OK Superfluous we have the same problems on Filmjackets. Thank you Dinerman for your help. Like I said I'm a collector I have a lot of jackets and some of them are unused so I have to sell them because it's a shame to let them in the closet.

For Dennis Quaid I'm surprised too how thin he is but more important I'm pretty sure he's kind of small ( like me). Because the jacket fits me perfectly and I'm 5'7'' and I like the short jacket, this one is perfect on me. I read he's 6', my brother is 6' and the jacket looks ridiculous on him so no way Dennis Quaid is 6'.

People's sizes are different. No reason to doubt Quaid's 6 feet. My friend is 6'1 he wears a size 38 jacket with 25 inch sleeves and a 24 inch back. It fits like it should. I am the same size and thin. I can't even get the jacket over my shoulders. Build and proportion determine fit not height.
