Hi Gals,

I was perusing the magazine section at Barnes and Noble today and happened upon Q Magazine (drawn, no doubt, by the lovely cover photo of Rita Hayworth from the 40s). Has anyone seen this? It's an odd mix of 1920s-1960s style icons with modern fashions. It's intriguing but I don't know if I like it or not yet. It seems to be quite a new publications--the Rita issue was Volume 1 Issue 4. I did a search on the Internet but I didn't find a site. I wondered what the earlier issues were like--curiousity may get the better of me and I may order the back issues. Any info appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

Same name but that's a British music magazine that's apparently quite influential (and expensive!), the fashion mag is US. I'll try to make some scans tomorrow of the fashion mag and look through it for any online info. Off to bed now though. Good night all!

Hi Marc,

Yes, I thought that too. Having not seen a complete issue of CS yet it is hard to know but Q seems like a slightly different market to me--a younger readership perhaps? Hard to put into words. There's room on my shelf for both magazines though.

Nice

The magazine has classic icons, but it still has a very modern slant on clothes, celebrities, etc. Has anyone checked out the fashion spreads? They aren't too different from other fashion magazines. I'm still waiting for Classic Style! :D
