Forget it. If I have to explain it would take longer than me going out and getting another one myself. I saw a forest green double breasted tux with a velvet peak lapel collar at a Frederick antique mall about two weeks ago. I can't say i've seen that color in a tux before. It was a tiny size, so it stayed there.

any of you all seen this color before on a vintage tux?

and this seemed to be a quality old one, not an ugly '60's or '70's tux. looked more '30's or earlier.

Some very old black suits -- and by old, I mean 1920s and earlier -- fade to a dark green color. Many eBay sellers of vintage clothing erroneously think that these suits were always green. Not so.
