Protecting Knox Vagabond...

Hi,
A few months ago I posted a thread about my wife finding a knox vagabond.
I restored the hat, and have wore it. Love it. My question is that I'd like to protect the knox logo/crest in the inside from disentegrate. Any ideas?
There is a spray I use to protect drawings from smearing. Dries clear but I'm not sure if it'd be a good idea. Here's a picture. As you can see there's a part already damaged.

it doesn't but there are parts flaking out nonetheless...:(

In case you are talking of fixative for pastels or chalk, I doubt that it will have much effect. It is usually a solution of mastix resin or gum arabic and alcohol, that is fine to keep fine particles in place where there is no mechanic impact. Better leave it, as is.

yeah, that kind of spray. As I responded to feltfan, some areas are already flaking. It'd be sad to see the crest dissapear. I guess I could not wear the hat, but I want to wear the hat. What a dilemma. There has to be a way of protecting it, come on guys! help me think!

You could try putting your own clear liner tip over it?
I have a British made Stetson that has the logo printed and the clear liner tip lightly attached over the top with stitching that doesn't show through to the other side.

Edit: And Feraud beat me to it...

The plastic cap in the Champ shown above is sewn in.
Note it is not sewn all the way through the felt and visible from the outside of the hat. The stitches just grab enough felt to hold the cap in place.

Remember that the plastic will make your hat a bit hotter.
I might try ironing (through a wet towel) to see if that works first.

My personal feeling is that adding the plastic looks worse than
losing a bit of the logo. But I really like liner-less hats.
