It's pretty impressive how consistent Prince Charles' style has remained over the decades. He's even wearing some of the same clothing from years ago, apparently. I like that, it's a minimalist, no-nonesense approach to one's wardrobe.
Much as I am not in favour of the monarchy, I do like Prince Charles' sense of style. I think he dresses appropriately for a man of his age and the functions he attends. I'm glad he was voted best dressed man by Esquire rather than Obama because whilst Obama is always appropriately dressed I don't think he is particularly stylish (a plain suit and plain tie may be a appropriate for a 21st century President but it does lack character and style).
How Obama got voted for anything but the worst dressed man is a wonder to me,just look over in the black tie guide for some of the worst faux pas imaginable. Charlie unlike his father has always been a style icon, and unlike aved I am a royalist through and through, but that doesn't mean I forgive Phillips complete lack of style anymore than I recognise Charlies understated classic dress sense regardless.
