Let the Big Heads Rejoice, Part II - Black Stetson Fedora- 7 5/8
This is the second of many LARGE hats I'll be selling here over the next several days. All are 7 1/2 or 7 5/8, and many are Long Ovals. These are hats I have been hesitant to part with, but have finally admitted they just don't quite work for me, for one reason or another.
First up is this very nice Royal Stetson fedora. I'm guessing that it dates from the '50s, but that's a guess. I also would not guarantee that the liner is original. It seems more modern to me than the size tag would indicate. Again... just a guess. Liner is glued in. Union tag under the sweat. No other tags or markings.
Felt is very nice... smooth and soft, but not floppy. Beautiful bound brim edge. Hat is freshly-brushed, and the sweat has been treated with a little Lexol.
Size is a true 7 5/8, as marked.
Opening measures 8 3/8 by 6 7/8.
Inner circumference- 24 1/8
Crown height (as bashed)- 4 1/2
Brim width- 2 1/8
Brim Height- 1 7/8
Color- Black
Price- Reduced to $60 in a last ditch effort to avoid going to ebay!
