That's sub-standard workmanship. I think that jacket needs to be remade.

Joking - it doesn't matter, it's a tiny amount.

lol

Yeah it doesn't bother me, i had to measure it a few times to see the difference. I wonder if that happens more often than we think. I don't think I've ever purposely measured both sleeves to check the length before....

One of the details I forgot to mention that I really like is how on the back, the yoke seem runs directly onto the sleeve seem. Doesn't do this on the speedway pictures on the Aero site and it didn't on my old LVC either. Was a really nice touch.

Yes, lining up back yoke with the seams is a total departure from the Levis Blue Black, and definitely an improvement- I'm not sure why Levis didn't go this route in the first place. Also, unlike the Blue Black, I like how you left the vertical back seam open. I feel that’s more true to the earlier time period.
And getting this jacket in the Black Vicenza is a brilliant idea! The Italian horsehide has such a rich, supple feel to it… so much more depth to it than the blue–black goat (at least the one I had off of ebay.) The lining and the zippers on the Blue-black were not meant for serious long term use. Yours, on the other hand, should last a life time, and just get better with age. Good improvements all around. Enjoy!

That's great...the whole thing is pretty special...I actually think just about any lining would rock in that jacket. You must be pumped.

Yeah, I'm really happy with it. I didn't want a really loud tartan, something understated but still pretty cool.

As I mentioned, its actually sated my desire for more jackets....at least for now ;)

That has worked out really well. I think the back is very good. You seem to have a premier version of the Speedway back crossed with a premier half-belt front. Those seam details are small but make all the difference. You have something unique in an understated way. Congratulations, you need to ask Aero for a bit of exclusivity or everyone on here is going to want one.

Very nice jacket indeed, congrats. The left sleeve is a tad longer than the right, right? No big deal, but visible. The back is a bit like the "Pioneer", I also love the functional back-seam. The alignment of the seems of back-joke and sleeves is a very nice detail, too.

Very happy that you are so happy with the outcome , it does look great.
A little bit of clarification about the back set up, our Premier range has very different collar set up and sleeve set up than the rest of the Aero range , meaning that simply taking a back from another style simply doesn't work. What you actually have is the back from our Premier Work Coat which also gives you the benefit of the flowing yolk and sleeve seams and also a functioning centre back gusset but still giving the look of the speedway back as requested.
Look forward to seeing some more pics once it has had a bit of wear .
Enjoy it .

I've measured and remeasured a few times, there is about a 1/4 inch difference between the two sleeves.

I don't know, would anyone be worried about that?

Do you look at your watch a lot? Chances are it's just the sleeves wrinkling up at different rates. I woulfn't worry. Looks fantastic!

Short arm.....probably a short arm. My neighbors wife says she has a short leg.....(looks like they both go all the way to the ground just fine to me)...lol

In any case...looks like a keeper to me!!! Congrats on a real beauty!!!!:eusa_clap

Yeah that is a fantastic jacket. I'm with everyone else here I really like the matching seems on the yoke. I also really like the centre seem gusset. I think it makes the jacket very slim without losing functionality. I'm not sure if that is what actually happens but thats how I see it. Very well done all around! COngrats!!

Fantastic jacket!!!!! Congrats PN -- that is just stellar!

I am completing an order with Carrie for a Premier Half Belt in seal brown Vincenza, so that timing could not be better! I have a couple of questions (for PN, Carrie or H&S):

1. There is a small gap between the bottom of the zipper and the bottom of the jacket -- it looks like a Plainsman in this regard. I thought the PHB zipper went to the bottom of the jacket: http://www.aeroleatherclothing.com/product-detail.php?id=2361 . Why the small gap on this jacket?

2. Can the same back, with the center gusset, be done with a single peak yoke (e.g., the Yoke from the Aeromarine)?

I wanted a center gusset, but had no idea it was available. Aero's photos of the Premier Work Coat (and Speedway) depict the back seam, but not the gusset.

Carrie, you have mail.

Congrats again PN -- really great jacket!

I can answer that one. I specifically requested the zipper be raised by about 2 inches to give that slight gap. I just like it as a feature. So yes, that is a custom tweak on this jacket, not standard on the PHB.

Also, thanks Hide'n'Seek for clarifying how you actually matched up the different front and back!

Black Watch, stealth hardware, and super drapey hide!!! What more to say; except, the sleeve "accordioning" is tremendous.

Looks superb!
