Is there a thread where I might get some help with an ebay issue?
I'm selling a Vanson jacket and have had zero views and no bidders or watchers. Using "vanson" as a search term, it doesn't show up. Adding "36" doesn't help. Adding "competition" and there it is, the only hit. I've had to relist it once already because the same problem arose last week, with eBay telling me that "it can take up to 48 hours for the "indexing stage" to be completed" WTAF

It's item #296219886649

I’ve both bought and sold through Fedora and they’ve been great experiences. I was really nervous my first purchase, but the guy was super friendly and helpful. I used to sell a lot on Grailed but their customer support is really bad and became more of a hassle than it was worth if a problem arose.

It looks like your Vanson is listed for sale under "Ebay Motors".
Change your category to "clothing" and you should be good as gold

Thank you that makes sense, don’t know why they would automatically throw me into that one. Sadly ebay won’t let me change the category now, so I’ll have to end the auction early (again!).

You should be able to revise the listing and change the category.

Vinted is a great platform for Europe...friendly, cheap and efficient. Otherwise I prefer Fedora
Vinted is OK when things go as they should but definitely not when there are issues.
It took me sometime, even with the help of Vinted Support, to get a refund from a seller for an item which was clearly ‘not as described’, both in condition and size.
And despite Vinted finding in my favour I was still out of pocket for the return postage costs and having to pay Vinted’s ‘Buyers Protection Fee’
Had the item been bought via eBay the situation would have certainly been a lot simpler and easier and I would have also received a full refund of all my costs.

@RDS I only use Vinted if the buyer/seller agrees to deal outside of Vinted :)
That’s worth bearing in mind. I’ve bought and sold many items from various sites without any problems but I guess it shows that there will always be the unscrupulous to be wary of.
It’s said eBay always sides with the buyer but either way in this instance it would have been a lot easier and quicker to get a satisfactory resolution than from Vinted.

I just bought a new jacket worn one day because I retail-itized and it looks amazing. But the price and style is too much for humble old me. I am trying to familiarize myself here for selling and if need be ebay. Never sold stuff before, so looking for tips.
