Just won a rather nice size 44 RW 18091 A2 in goatskin. The last original goatskin A2 I owned was a Cable which was infected with leather rot. This RW appears to be in great condition and is rarer than some RW's being a pre-war veg tanned and aniline dyed jacket with the triple marked Talon zipper. More pics when it arrives.

Nice jacket Andrew

I've yet to add an A-2 to my collection, still window shopping... Your recent excellent aquisistions are making me think that my wardrobe is very incomplete without one. (Would keep the lovely late war Irvin I bought off you last year good company!)

I was very tempted by a possible RW 18091 on ebay this week, and had a good chat with the seller after the auction ended with the reserve not met. Too big a gap between my highest price and his lowest price though :(

Keep posting them up, I'm learning loads ;)

Good grief! The leather on that jacket is impeccable! And it is over sixty years old. The lining appears to be in remarkably good shape, too. What an amazing piece of history.

Lost out to you in the bidding but good to see it is going to someone who really appreciates these jackets. I have one same size with original patch and nametag and rank. Only mine went through depot at sometime and it got a coat of seal over the russet. They are great jackets. The goatskin on them is tough as nails and real thin. I have owned three of them and for being over 60 years old they were in really great shape. Congrats.

Mike, The RW 18091 jacket is back on ebay with a £25 starting price. It would be worth contacting the seller to see what his reserve is. You could make him an offer! The jacket needs to be re-knitted and repairs done to the lining. The goatskin looks to be in good condition.

Yep, I noticed it last night. I'll pm you some details, I'd appreciate your thoughts on it...
