Also i am admiring his stitch work more & more with each new jacket posted.

People praise FW for their laser sharp stitch work and flawless execution. Like it's something only FW can achieve (Because they don't do custom builds or simply because they're made in Japan and the Japanese pay more attention to detail). I think that's bs. There are other -non Japanese- makers who are just as good and Thedi definitely is one of them.

Any chance you can get them shortened? EDIT- just seen you have moved it on.

I indeed thought about having them shortened. But then I realized the elbow padding was positioned too low relative to my elbow, which is something that can't be fixed by shortening the sleeves from the cuff.

Hi, first post here. I own a few leather jackets, mostly entry level, if you will. Last year I got a schott 530 café. This fuelled my interest in finding even better..
Now I'm particularly proud of my latest pickup in Thessaloniki from the master himself ;-)
Thedi Leathers mtc1261 in brown deerskin.
it's more grainy and less shiny in reality. Very firm but still sorta stretchy, so it will serve great as an actual motorcycle jacket. First it was I very tight fit, and I considered going up a size, but Theodoros insisted that I size down. He did make some adjustments to tailor it better. He was right, I think it gained at least a half size after a week of break in;

Fantastic jacket and fit! Their CR models are splendid.

Very beautiful CR and spot on fit. Really like it a lot.
The deerskin from Thedi is stunning (I had actually tried that jacket on when I visited him in June this year). The stretch in the deerskin comes strongly in one direction of the hide and is indeed quite substantial.
I ended up buying a Phenix with the quilted patches in a nubuk-like leather that Theodoros had done once to try a different treatment on the leather. I completely agree with you: this is my most comfy, yet trim and relatively tight fitting jacket to ride. I love it.
Regarding the fitting: I just have in mind one sentence from Theodoros about a buffalo cossack jacket. "I can make you this jacket again (I tried one in the shop), but I would honestly not change a thing. Take that size and wear it in! Do not size up".
The result is a tight fitting jacket that feels like a second skin. First minutes of wear is always like "damn, don´t gain weight boy" but ends up in "This jacket is home".

Congrats on your purchase!

The nubuck looks awesome, especially with Thedi's signature 'wash'. It adds a lot of character without looking artificially aged (imo).

It kind of goes from a classical Nubuk type to almost a deerskin type of leather. Very soft and super rich in textures. A very nice jacket.

that is amazing. I have the same jacket in the horsehide. Has gotten maybe 10 wears on it and very little sign of creasing yet, but it's coming, I know it. Would love to knock off some of the shine too. Don't think it'll ever evolve to what you have here since this is obviously a different leather and treatment, but can't wait for mine to get more worn in. Could say that about all my jackets LOL. And that is the mission this next jacket season!

fantastic as well. Thank goodness I live no where near his shop or he'd own my house by now LOL. I've said it before, if I was starting over, I'd own a handful of Thedis, a Cal, a Field Leathers and Schott Perfecto and be done.

I read 10 years instead of 10 wears... felt like: whoah someone is tenacious...

Hello, newer member here. I have a Thedi question but if this isn’t the right place let me know. I’m in the process of ordering a custom Thedi Aegean in Cocoa Buffalo from Carrie at TB a and have a few questions. My build is an XL in my shoulders and chest but not my arms or height, so she’s going to shorten the arm and jacket length. My shoulders though tend to be around 20” from my best measurements and the XL fit jacket was a 19 inch which seems just a tad short. Shoulder stitch some just short of the end of my shoulder bone. She says the fit is good on my shoulders but I’m wondering if the shoulders shouldn’t be adjusted a little bit, or will the leather stretch as it breaks in and make this minor adjustment not a big deal, or am I splitting hairs too much? I see a lot of people selling custom jackets because of an improper fit and I would hate to do that.

Also, I have the choice of cotton or wool lining? Which is better? I want a jacket that can come on and off easily and is a good 3 season jacket for everyday use. I live on the East Coast of the US so temps are around 20s-30s in winter and up to around 55ish in fall/spring. The size of the jacket allows me to layer so I’m not too concerned about winter but I don’t want a jacket that is too hot and can’t be used in the the Fall. I don’t ride so this is just a everyday use jacket. My first real expensive on though so I’m trying to get as much info as possible and avoid any mistakes.
Thanks in advance!
