I had assumed that the "Coast to Coast" meant their sales area lol
My liner is the only thing not perfect in that it had the oilskin and that has broken down. No plastic cover on this one and mine is actually tan coloured or does the picture just show yours more grey than it really is?
Washing the liner is the only major task on this and I am scared that I might ruin it:eusa_doh:

Mine is 100% accurate color as it is one of the hats shot professionally. Your's looks grey in my monitor[huh]

Did you see my thread about fixing the whippet?
The liner of my this hat was stained by a sweat mark!. Granted it was already detached but just remove it and lightly wash it with woolite in lukewarm water. They let it air dry. don't twist it or anything because it'll wrinkle. Just let it sit and the sew it back when dry!

I have the liner out, it had been glued.

Thanks. Just sponged it well, just short of re-pouncing. Going to hot-block it and while it cools I'll wash the liner.

Yeah, I think the model is coast to coast. 50s probably...not 100% sure though. Ask Jimmy, or Dinerman, they are the dating gurus!

You can see the price tag on mine there, but I think it was probably added at the store in IN (Jones?lol)

Not really a re-block but I am not sure what else to call it. I have come up with a method of doing a hot block using the oven, kettle and a sizing block.
This hat was basically NOS so there wasn't a lot of work to be done.
