i am worred about the bow on this ribbon.
is it hopplessly out of style?

Truth is MB - all fedoras are out of fashion. If we worried about current fashion, we wouldn't love our hats like we do.

I have a backbow Stetson that I really like. It gives itself to a porkpie so that's how it's creased. The backbow is distinctive and your hat looks terrific as it is. Wear it with pride!

And you've done a great job on that crease!!

Have been unable to link to other photo storage site so trying again to show my new casual wet wear hat, an inexpensive outback in a really nice Blue/Green Grey and nice lines...

You're almost there. Once you've got the IMG code (what you pasted into your post) copied, click the little photo of the mountain just below where it says "Smiles" as you post. Paste the IMG code in the pop-up window, but delete everything that comes after .jpg It will look like this

url]

(I've inserted spaces so the photo wouldn't show).

When you post, you won't see all that code, you'll see this:

Great hat!

You look amazing in that hat, texashatman. I am just so relieved to know that 7 1/8 hats will not fit you!!!!!

After years of western hats and many straw fedoras I finally broke down and bought a "real" hat! It's a Stetson Temple Sovereign in Caribou. I love it. I can see myself starting to be bidding competition on the 7 3/8 and 7 1/2's online;)

They're just two modern hats from Hornets, as birthday presents. Very happy though, especially with the beige.

Johann Hückel´s Söhne, Jota Seal Velour

Johann Hückel´s Söhne, Jota Seal Velour, black with a hint of blue (probably 1930s). The Seal Velour finish is really beautiful.

Welcome MB! That Royal Stetson is a great example of fedora styles, albeit shortlived; wear it and enjoy it as it is. Its a classic. Nice crease alteration, by the way.

That is a really interesting finish on that. I have not heard of a seal finish but it is slick and beautiful! Nice purchase!

We who wear them define the style, MB. If you just want to fit in then wear a baseball cap.

I don't own and have never worn a Fedora with a back bow but I can't rule one out in the future. I know my wife would totally dig it.

Nice hat.
