This one is pretty special—a 1940s Whippet in a beautiful color scheme of medium gray felt and lavender-gray ribbon and binding. It differs in a number of ways from the classic 1950s Whippets I’ve seen. The blocking is less tapered (I gave it a 6-point diamond crease to absorb some of the extra felt), the model name is on the sweat instead of the liner, and the brim binding is almost 1/2” on the bottom and about 5/16 on top, folded over so it has a slight rise, and set off by the stitching come up from the bottom. Beautiful soft felt with a 2 3/4” brim.

Cheers, David

Pretty unique, David. If it didn't say Whippet I'd call it a Stetsonian except that I've never seen a Stetsonian in anything but RD quality.

Mossant de Luxe lordshat. In 100% mint condition. Unfortunally you can't read the label because of the lining which is stitched over it. The hat is grey, but there something of purple in the brimbinding. Beautiful hat!

C'est un Mossant Diplomatique Marcel, pas un Lordhat. Il est superb!
