Fléchet Pilote Imperméable. Size is 59, but it's unfortunally more like 57,5. So i have to stretch it.

A new $9 Goodwill project hat arrived this afternoon. Think well call this one the " Blank Slate Mystery" hat. No Liner, no tags, and except for one little round Stetson logo imprinted on the sweatband, no markings at all. The man made fake leather sweatband is pretty much hardened and has a rip in it, so I may sew in a decent leather sweat. Maybe a nicer ribbon treatment. Oh well at least it fits lol.

Actually in pretty decent shape. Black, fairly stiff felt, ribbon hatband, 3" raw edge brim and about a 5" crown. Center dent crown similar to this mornings Key Club. Kind of a stiff almost cowboy hat weight felt in a wide brim fedora-ish shape. Definately a fur felt and not wool... prob a Royal level felt. Just needs some cleaning and love.

Dont know what it originally was, but its mine now lol. Let see what I can do with it

Never let it be said that I don't get out of my comfort zone regarding green hats. Here's proof.

Edelweiss fedora in green velour. Size 56 (but feels smaller) with the raw edge brim at 5,5cm and the crown at 10,5cm at the center dent. As expected it's Swiss made, but I'll admit I did also expect some more precision from the Swiss. The felt is wonderful (colour aside), but the finishing is mediocre at best. The sweatband is toast, the ribbonwork a bit sloppy and the liner is sagging. It can all be remedied, but still...
Looks like it's from 1961.

And, believe it or not, another one in green!
Rehfus fedora in green. Size 56 with the underwelt brim at 6cm and the crom at 10,5cm at the center dent. Attractive shape to this one and an interesting ribbon treatment. Some damage to the brim edge and the reed, but very wearable (if you like green;)). Don't know about the age, but I have not seen a Rhefus label like this one before.

Nice finds Stefan. I’m not so sure you camera likes green hats either... I’m not picking up much green till I get to the underside of the second hat. Those green/brown Loden felts can be so difficult to photograph and the color shifts so much.

An opportunity not to be missed, despite the terrible photos of the seller and the surreal situation that, the hats to travel 150 kilometers, took a month. The seller made three wrong shipments, non-compliant weights, boxes too big and everything it takes to cancel three shipments.
Group of quality Borsalinos in a single size: mine.
Amiata Lobbia Interno 4.jpg

The first one I show you is a classic that I have in other versions.
Homburg or lobbia Borsalino Qualità Extra Superiore size 6 1/2 is equivalent to 60 centimeters in Europe and 7 1/2 in the USA. The color is "Amiata" and the type "Gulaela".
Amiata Lobbia Interno.jpg
It is in its super classic range of colors and the shape is the intermediate one of the Borsalino, medium compared to the shape of the Homburgs of the 20s - 30s - 40s and less rounded than the recent ones.
Amiata Lobbia Interno 3.jpg
These are the measurements: the curled brims are at 6 centimeters, the ribbon is at 4 centimeters and the lowest point of the crown is at 11 centimeters.
Amiata Lobbia Interno 1.jpg
It is in excellent conditions for the age. It was made in the late Fifties or very early Sixties.
Amiata Lobbia Interno 2.jpg

A magnificent and classic Homburg, probably the most seen of the Borsalinos of this group, but too classic to let go. It will keep company with his numerous peers.

In the group there is also an uncommon Borsalino that I have encountered very few times in my research.
Marron Pelo Borsa 1.jpg

I have never had a Borsalino with such long and soft fur, the shape with a very rounded crown and wide brims and unlined
Marron Pelo Borsa Interno.jpg
It looks like one of the classic Borsalinos from the Sixties and Seventies made with a felt that is unusual for Borsalino standards, instead it was made in 1980 and is the youngest of the group.
Marron Pelo Borsa 3.jpg
This is one of the reasons that convinced me to buy the lot.
Borsalino without any other indication of quality, size is 6 1/2 or 60 cm. in EU and 7 1/2 in US
Marron Pelo Borsa 2.jpg
The color is "Mogano - Mahogany" and no type of hat is marked on the paper label.
The measurements are as follows: raw brim at 6.5 centimeters, ribbon at 3 centimeters and minimum height of the crown at its lowest point is 11 centimeters.
Marron Pelo Borsa 4.jpg

A curious hat and probably little produced by Borsalino in this long fur and soft felt version.

This is the perfect twins of the previous in Maoghany fur felt.
The same year of manufacture: 1980.
Like its twin it is called on the sweatband "Lord Hat"
Pelo Benaco Borsa 2.jpg

As i said previously I have never had a Borsalino with such long and soft fur, the shape with a very rounded crown and wide brims and unlined with a perfect twin they are the youngest of the group.
Pelo Benaco Borsa interno.jpg
From the sign on the crown they were shaped very low with a wide bowl on the top of the crown.
It was the Italian way to shape this rounded and high crown
Pelo Benaco Borsa 1.jpg
Borsalino without any other indication of quality, size is 6 1/2 or 60 cm. in EU and 7 1/2 in US
The color is "Benaco" and no type of hat is marked on the paper label.
Benaco or Garda lake is a wonderful place twenty kilometers from Verona.
Pelo Benaco Borsa 5.jpg
The measurements are as follows: raw brim at 6.5 centimeters, ribbon at 3 centimeters and minimum height of the crown at its lowest point is 12 centimeters, it depends how you shape the crown
Pelo Benaco Borsa 4.jpg

Another curious hat and probably little produced by Borsalino in this long fur and soft felt version.
This is the second in this group and it has a tone on tone of felt and ribbon.

Very classic Borsalino for color and shape. Finishes are of first rate
Fosco Borsa 1.jpg

It is a hat made in the late Sixties with an eye on the classic shape of Borsalino hats of Thirties. In my opinion is a "copy" of a G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro for the clean and sharp profile
Fosco Borsa 3.jpg
From the sign on the crown it shaped very low with a wide bowl on the top of the crown and I retained the same in the pictures
The felt is thin, soft and really easy to shape
Fosco Borsa 2.jpg
Borsalino Qualità Speciale made expressely for G. Bossi - Milano, size is 6 1/2 or 60 cm. in EU and 7 1/2 in US
The color is "Fosco" and no type of hat is marked on the paper label.
Fosco Borsa Interno.jpg
It seems along with the Amiata homburg the oldest of the bunch
The measurements are as follows: oversewed at 6.5 centimeters, ribbon at 4.5 centimeters and minimum height of the crown at its lowest point is 12 centimeters.Felt and ribbon are tone on tone
Fosco Borsa 5.jpg

This is the fourth and final borsalino of this first 2025 find and purchase
