My first Bowla! This is definitely a different monster and an acquired taste, but it is kind of cool.

I'm going to guess early 1900's?

About time you got a bowler!
Not all of them are the hard shell type you've got on - the Stetson I'm wearing right now is a much softer version so is more comfortable and also warmer (liner and no vent holes).

Nice get, Héctor! I also have an unlined Select Quality but without ventilation holes. I think mine dates to around the early 1930s.

I know you said the sweatband is sensitive, but if you are able to carefully look there probably will be some additional stampings on the back. There should be a lot number of the form "LOT XXXX." There may also be a bow number reference as well as a size and the the word "STIFF" as shown below:

These lot numbers have been used to roughly establish a dating timeline with the assumption that the lower the number the earlier the hat. There is a dedicated LOT XXXX thread documenting these numbers, so if you are able to look and find one please consider adding yours to that thread as well.

Thanks for the 411. I'll try, but when I took the pictures of the inventory stickers a small part of the sweatband disconnected from the hat, so now I'm really scared of messing with it any further, lol....

I will try :)

Just joined and never posted any of my hats. Here is my black sheep. Color is eggplant. Need to try and wear this more often, but now I live in Texas and it’s always hot.
