Lovin how light this one is. Sizes seem to run just a tad big, they shipped with cork spacers and that fixed it right up. Im a 58 and this one was just a bit loose. :)
I'm between a 57 and 58. Mine's a 57 and fits perfectly. The 58 was too loose even with spacers.
It's so light, you forget you have it on [emoji4]

A new (to me) vintage Stetson straw I just received. The crown is a bit lopsided but I think I can reshape it. Nice chocolate brown color Milan weave. I've not had a straw hat in this color until now. Has the original Stetson pin in the ribbon but the roundel is missing inside the crown.

Just when I thought I'd never find a "new" vintage hat again, one turned up. I found this Bee Hat Company hat in an Episode store in Copenhagen. The felt is very smooth. I was especially drawn to the tear- drop crease and all the original labels.
The Bee Hat Co was situated in St. Louis, Missouri as was the Famous Barr Co department store.
From the price tag and style, I'm thinking late 40s early 50s.

Nice find, Steve. Don't think I've seen this brand before.

I had posted about some of these in the hats on the way thread, but they arrived so here they and other new hats are in the wild.

From bottom to top in group pic (edit: I think I got that pic set right now):

Biltmore Imperial Homburg (Canada) - Mustard
Biltmore Royal “Florence” (Canada) - Walnut
Biltmore Imperial “Chicago” (US) - Coffee
Bilmore Royal fur felt (Canada) - Black Oak
Biltmore Royal fur felt (Canada) - Ancient Bronze

View attachment 121485 Just picked up a Dobbs Naples straw today. Just tired of wearing baseball hats and wanted something to wear around.
First things first--welcome to The Lounge!

If you aren't used to wearing brimmed hats, that Dobbs should be a nice "transition" hat from ball caps. Light weight, and the weave looks like it'll provide some nice ventilation during the coming summer months (assuming you're in the northern hemisphere of the planet, that is). But don't be surprised if you start looking for a good fur felt hat to keep your head warm and dry when the cooler winter months are approaching. ;)

Thanks! I already have a Open Road straw, but not the kind of hat I can wear with shorts. But I must say I've received a ton of compliments wearing it. As an early birthday present to myself I just bought an OR felt. I have a feeling I've started an addiction. Glad to know I'm not the only one here. [emoji6]
