Perfection!

Folks might not get the impression from the stingy brims I normally prefer to wear, but a cattleman creased Open Road, in my mind, is about the coolest thing ever.

I have several Westerns with Cattleman creases & they look just fine but they all have >3" brims. I never cared for how I look in an OR with a Cattleman crease & I always thought it was because the brim was too narrow for me. Wearing this OR around the house this morning I'm coming to the conclusion it's the turned up brim & not the width that I don't like on me. I just don't look as good as you & some others do with a turned up brim. I tend to like all my brims pretty flat & level in front; not turned up or snapped down.

This hat may end up with a diamond but I'm in no hurry.

Turn up the brim, turn up the Bob Wills on the stereo, and turn up a few cold ones. You might find it suits you more than you think.

IIRC this logo puts it post 1934 so Im guessing 40's or 50's

The brim is close to a three incher , Red! I'm quite happy in the shade
