Actually, no, the guy who made up the hat, had to go check with the boss when he saw that part of my order. No problem with it though.

This arrived in the mail today: Dobbs Rainbow. It has the finest embroidered liner tip I have encountered to date. One other thing that wasn't apparent from the pictures is that it has a Cavanagh edge.

That looks really nice. How's it feel?

Thanks. I've only worn it around the house/yard but, so far, I'm very happy with the feel. It's not quite as airy as a semi-calado but still much better for humid Summer than a felt would be. A nice balance of durability and ventilation.

Fit-wise, it's the best hat I've ever tried. The Extra-Long Oval shape makes a huge difference for me.

... And as much as I love these old Strat boxes they are horribly designed

it took me 40 years but I finally realize that they don't seem to flock to a 5' 3" 160lb frame draped in facial hair ... even when that frame is owned by a professional musician



I'm perfectly happy with one woman these days .... one woman, one daughter, one dog, five drum kits , and 30 hats... and counting

Looks like you found the better looking twin to my Strat. Mine wears well, but shows its age much more than yours.

I put my new Strats in the old boxes to get the benefits of that horrible design....
