Agreed. The Loungers are usually quite courteous. Like you. I had experience on another forum that was full of self-appointed experts who seemed only interested in telling the whole world how everyone else was full of crap. After about a month of that nonsense I told the moderator to just nix my account.

Thanks for the nice comments on my new Panama. I have never held or seen a Panama in person so I do not know what a quality Panama hat is like but I know this hat has a good tight weave and is very light weight. It came with a "silk" liner which I have already removed. This is a summer hat to cover my ever balding dome and I want it to be as cool as possible. I ordered it with a tan grosgrain band instead of the customary black and I think the tan really sets this hat off. It is amazing how thin and light weight these hats are. Extremely comfortable.

I did borrow my screen name from the movie LA Confidential. I really like that movie also. Great story and time period piece of film making.

Color is more tan, not green at all, overcast here and natural light was slight, so pics may not be best. This one has a nice brim curl to it and had more of a pronounced swoop that I altered a little bit. Overall the felt has a great quality to it.
