Regrets that it fits perfectly.

I'm happy to hear that - after all ;)

Funny, that Brad just mentioned Purplesage's Dobbs as a potentional "transitional" when it comes to logos. Your Playboy looks to be one of the transitional 50s Stetsons with the old crest on the leather and the new on the liner. A real beauty it is ... bashed or not :)

Hey Andy...great hat.. but I have to say.
That back in the 50's if you bashed a hat it would not be wearable.
But I do love the crease that is in your Playboy!!!!

The crease chose itself. I suspect it sat in its box nearly 60 years with that bash (I mean crease). Just didn't seem right to try to change it. Original price was $11.95. It increased a couple shekels over the decades.

This is what my Gamebird looks like inside:

Wow, yeah, that's the first tip-sticker Gamebird I can remember seeing. Very cool.

Resistol Beaver Fifteen Madison

I picked this Resistol up recently for a good price. I have some other Resistol vintage hats and they are all very good quality. I normally don't wear an extra long oval but with the way the crown is pinched and a center dent it seems to fit pretty good. The hat has a 2 1/2" Cavanagh type brim and a 5" crown as shown.

I was not expecting to find this hat, specially one made on my Country...
It is made of rabbit fur and the seller said it may be done on EPALDA factory in São João da Madeira.

Can only find "Dallas" hats in Brazil. Brazil is not Portugal... so maybe made in Portugal to be sold in Brazil.

100% rabbit fur, made in Portugal. Never excepted to see clothing cleaning symbols on a hat...

Just my size! Sweatband is made of nappa.

It had some kind of chinstrap but the previous owner removed it.

I just got this early 1960s Byer-Rolnick era “Wide Country” (auction pics only right now) – 4-1/2” crown, 2-1/4” brim, wind-trolley – seems to be un-worn. Quality is not marked, but it is comparable to my other 3X or 4X Resistols from the era. Color is probably silverbelly, but has an olive green tone.

Looks really great Robert. Unworn is always a plus.

I just bought this Penney's straw....should be here by Friday. Hopefully looks as great as the sale pics. '50s NOS Penney's Straw Fedora.
