Here's my eagerly awaited Milan from Peter bros in Texas . Shane had a nice vintage Block that matched my specs perfectly. 4 1/2 in front and 3 3/4 in rear. Brim is about 2 3/4.
I also posted pic of a vintage Borsalino pug that I've been waiting to use and I think it works well on this one. It was a Pleasure to do business with Peter bros.

Nice, Bond. Earlier this year I was contemplating getting a PB Milan - in either black or grey.
As it happened, I found a nice grey vintage one instead, but I could be tempted again next year.

I've always liked the look of the blocking on the PB Milans - yours looks great.

I discovered yesterday that Faustmann hats have a factory outlet and were just 40 minutes drive away from where I was working, so I just couldn't resist the opportunity. My wife wasn't very happy when she found out that I had just bought "yet another hat", but here it is :)

They had a really nice grey fedora from a Polish manufacturer (sorry, I can't remember the name, and certainly couldn't pronounce it) on the shelf, but it was a one-off and way too big for me. Mr. Faustmann himself was serving me, and after a while, he found something similar in grey, although it started out with a centre crease, which I didn't want, since it was too similar to my new Borsalino (see my post in "The Borsalino Brotherhood"), except in a different colour. Mr. Faustmann recreased the hat by hand with the teardrop crease that you see in the photos. Excellent service and at a third of the price of my Borsalino, although it is clear that the qualities are somewhat different, even if Faustmann use the same fur felt supplier as Borsalino.

Could that Polish hat have been a Sterkowski? I'd be interested to know the quality level of Sterkowskis fur felt hats.

I don't think so. Next time I'm in the area, I'll have to go back and take another look. For the recrease, we went through the production line. Next time I'll ask if I can take some photos - maybe that would be interesting for some. Whatever it was, IMHO it was a very nice quality.

Bond: Really sharp milan! It's rare to see a milan that white, but it sure looks fantastic!

Ghost Rider: Beautiful Pole. What is the brim width?

mayserwegener: Great link. The site could be a lot better - but it's featuring a very nice and interesting slideshow from the production line
