Thanks, RBH. After a few--thankfully very few--missteps, I think I've found the dimensions, as you say. Again, it's all due to the Lounge and the education I've received here. :)

Bond sells some really clean hats! Nice one, lotsofhats.

Finally, I am able to grab up a Biltmore Open Road from a fellow lounger, was like a late Christmas present, sent all new in original box never worn! Can't be any better, I think the hat is very nice to say the least. Hat was so easy to do a bash on it, I was really impressed from that moment on.

Hi Folks:
Here are some proof photos of my new custom from Cane Rod's Hats. He did a granite colored beaver felt w/ vintage ribbon for me. I am VERY impressed with his work and customer service!

Plus 1 Tom , felt looks like it has a nice hand to it and I like the casual bash and yet the ribbon treatment gives it a sense of formality.
Aaron the Stetson looks great on you!

Just received tonight. Biltmore Open Road on sale from Hats Plus. The website says Chicago, but this hat came from CO? Anyhow I love the feel of the hat. It is lightweight, soft, and pliable.

However, if it is 7-5/8 then I am the last king of Scottland! My 62cm Akubra fits fine and maybe loose. This 61cm is headache tight after 10 seconds!
...

US 7 5/8 = British 7 1/2 = 61cm
US 7 3/4 = British 7 5/8 = 62cm
You may be closer to a 7 3/4 US. All 61cm fit my 24", 7 5/8, 61cm head just fine....

Knox homburg... I am unsure on the date of this hat. It is black, but the ics make it seem blueish... It's a very nice hat, and seems to have rarely been worn, has no prior bash lines in it's memory. Feels great, and takes any bash with ease. I am unsure what the small sticker means with the numbers that is behind the sweat, or the number 6 that was written on the sweat.

If anyone can help figure a date, many thanks!

Thank you Manfred! I really enjoy wearing something that is a bit different from what is usually seen around here, and in the real world. I really like my fedoras, but the Homburgs just have that 'special something' to them!

I love the hat. I am due to make a trip up to see Mike Moore in a few weeks. I will see if he can steam and stretch it. I sure hope so. I had a hat once that I hat-jacked and it ended up looking like a stepped pyramid.

I got one of those Hats Plus ORs too. I flipped the sweatband and it's dated 2002, so your hat may have drawn up a bit in storage if it's of the same vintage as mine. I checked all the Biltmore catalogs on their website and I don't see the Wilderness Collection OR after 2006.

They were acquired by Battersby in the '30's. Likely safe to assume this is pre-WW2. Soft but dense with a frayed edge ribbon.

Neither location lasted much longer
