Thanks gents, I'm quite pleased with this hat.

I think I will keep the brim up for the time being, going to see if I can get it to have a little dip in the front for just a bit of panache.

I am sure it would look fine with a ribbon but personally I wouldn't alter it. I like ribbons but I also like ropes and felt bands.

I was just dreaming that I owned it... I'm not a fan of felt bands but do appreciate how some hats look with them. This one, however, I think I'd look great with ribbon.

Here is a trio of vintage Borsalinos that I picked up recently. All 50s vintage; Homburg in lt. olive green, Feather wt. in Sage/Brown,
and the fedora in Avorio or ash grey.(needs ribbon back on)
Took me over a year and a half to find these babies the odd thing about it when i got them I had no idea they were what they were with the exception of the Hburg that I got from Rodkins recently.
The felts are all beautiful and in excellent condition.

How's the fit Mike? I've always wondered about that, with Art's hats bought second-hand. That hat sure looks great. I now know where to go when I grow weary of trying to find a vintage Strat!
