Eric: Fine looking Summer hat! Cocoa straw?

It's a brisa Al. Antique ribbon. The colors of the ribbon were chosen to make the hat "pop".

Rusty: Looks great on you!

Rusty, I agree with Al. What a fantastic hat, you wear it well sir!

I had my first 'bash' with a vintage hat, a Western Royal Stetson I bagged off Ebay for the princely sum of £18! Here's the hat as was:

Had to read this twice Badger. Thought, at first, you and your Stetson went to a party! Turned out so nice, perhaps you should!

Mr Badger, nice bash and very nice hat. Love your avatar, where did you get that neck tie? Like your style.

Thanks folks, nice to know I'm on the right (ahem) Open Road, which would be my dream lid... I was very lucky with that Stetson, as I simply can't afford to buy vintage hats unless we're actually in the US, owing to the exchange rate, postage and import duties! Can't wait until I can get back to Memphis and pay another visit to Alvin Lansky at his awesome shop, Mr Hats!

The tie I'm wearing in my avatar pic came from a vintage shop in Memphis, the other one pictured below was bagged from Ebay for norra lorra dosh...

Now to get back on topic, UK FLers who are partial to full-cut panel caps will be pleased to know that a linen full-cut 12" panel cap is finally available this side of the pond! My day-to-day wear is usually a black or brown herringbone Jaxon 'Big Apple', which is way too warm for the late Spring and Summer, so I bagged one of these!

Well it's nothing fancy or real nice, but it's new to me. Picked this sage Chatham up in Garland Sat. It's got a few issues, but for the $$$ I can overlook them. Bought it to be more of an everyday/every outfit type of hat. Maybe later this summer I'll have someone put a welt on the brim.

Thank you. Yes, it is quite a nice hat. It is indeed, one way to wear the green! ;)

Would you believe it, I found it on Ebay. Actually the seller I bought it from I think is new to making hats. He is great! Ye might have come across him: bquisenb60d1? I like the fact that each of his hats are handmade.
