Well, getting hats is a great way to speed your recovery, right LMH?
Oh heck yes! My sweet lil Wife has been spoiling me like I was King Henry the 8th! Hats, neckties, suitcoats, shoes, socks, shirts, shorts, belts, and there are some very (shall we say) nifty things that I can do in this wheelchair! LOL! (ssssshhhh)!

My Stetson Vita-Felt Riviera came in. This is a cool hat. It's just a tad small and I haven't had the guts to stretch it yet.

Rodkins,

My grandfather was a butcher at the stockyards in Chicago. I remember him telling me about seeing all the cowboys riding in with the cattle from Texas and out west. The Stockyards Inn was a very nice restaurant that was right across from the Union Stockyards, that's where all the cowboys went to eat when they came into town, and it was an institution in Chicago, it was the place you went for a steak. Your hat shows they had a men's store also, which I didn't know about but makes perfect sense, I can see them going there and getting some new clothes with the money from the cattle.

Oh, never mind, that's Ralph Lauren and his fashion worry beads.

Very soft, dressy, but thick felt; Polo, I suspect made by Resistol, judging by the mocha liner. Very confortable crossover western hat.

Here are a couple of pics of my new Playboy that I just purchased off of Even Steven here on the lounge. It should be here by Tuesday or Wednesday of this coming week so I'll try to get a couple of pictures of me wearing it.

Picked up this Knox Homburg for 22 bucks at our local downtown street antique fair. It's size 71/2. I wear 73/8 so I can work with it. You can tell by the fade line that somebody replaced the original ribbon and added a big "Bavarian style" feather.

Rodkins, those are amazing. Nice haul! I love the binding on the vita-felt.

Ray, Terry, Sam Diamond-- excellent specimens as well. What a great rattler band!
I'm not sure that Knox could quite pass as a homburg, though. Could it be an Alpine hat?

This just came in from ebay:
Wormser Royal Luxury, with a very cool sharksgill and cross-stitched ribbon.
