Haha! Not surprising around here. I liked the original crease too, in the abstract, but it just seemed too dressy for my casual wardrobe. I think it needed a little skewing. I am so not cool enough to wear it with the original crease in jeans and white T-shirts!
I promise I'll give the original a good whirl again-- maybe tomorrow! :) Let's see how this modern felt holds up under pressure.

I don't know, Jeff - I'd say that the original crease would be fine with your casual clothes. I'd be another vote for a back ribbon as well!

Imperial Ultimate?! That's really very funny ... lol
In all my browsing on the Lounge, I've never seen "Imperial Ultimate" on a hat. It must mean something! Did Stetson have an Imperial quality felt that could be done with an Ultimate finish?
I'm at a loss.

Just picked this up off of Craig s' List, new Royal Stetson 2 3/8 brim, 1 1/4" ribbon, it says the color is bark but it looks olive green to me. Not vintage but I don't find many 7 3/4 size hats let alone in this unique color

Turned out nicely. Logo perhaps associated with the 1960 Rome Olympics?

Thanks, Robert. I was able to remove the stain completely, the tedious part was sewing back the the sweatband I had to remove to stretch it from the original 7 to the 7 1/8 and re-blocking the body to that number. I thought the same thing about the logo. This one is light and short crowned but I'm comfortable wearing it. And, of course, it's gray. Argento, actually ;) (silver)

Last but not least, I bought this modern Stetson milan Stratoliner to wear as a I don't-care-what-happens-to-it hat. Quite nice and soft, to my surprise. I was expecting a helmet. Out of respect ;) for the TWA pin, I removed the cheap version they put.
