This a fedora made by Bradford. I bought it really cheap as you can tell from the photos, it needs some TLC. I thought it might be a good hat to learn how to clean (using naptha!) and reshape a hat. Maybe put a new ribbon it, if it doesn't come clean. Depending on your monitor, you might not be able to tell but it definitely has a purple color to it, which varies depending on what kind of light hits it.

caul, that sweatband looks primo! I see the purplish hue, too. Is the ribbon a green shade?

Mayser, another immaculate bowler. What are up to now, number-wise?

the sweatband is in nice shape but is coming loose here and there. Not sure the best way to fix it. The ribbon is sort of a greenish grey color.

I got this hat from johnnyphi this week. The crown shape, depth, brim flange, and ribbon are just perfect. I absolutely love the dimensions of this hat. I dont usually wear brown hats, but this one is going to my daily rotation for sure.

I got this Borsalino from a second hand clothes shop for 10 euro's. I had to clean it, and bring back the shape a little, but otherwise it is in near mint condition. It's a nice chocolate brown velvety felt, it has a 2,15 inch brim with a 3 row stitch egde and a shark gills ribbon. It measures 57 cm, and it has a datestamp (very handy): feb 1976. Is this considered vintage yet? I'm not selling, but what could this be worth (just curious)? Any other info on this model is welcome!

FinnSpinn, I have a different take. I think that in the US (with local shipping), it would likely auction closer to 60 US right now. Of course, one never knows just what will happen. That's just my opinion.

Thats a German market Borsalino. It's a bit on the stingy side but still from the old factory. I think Zetwal is in the ball park although 57 (7 1/8 US) is a smaller size so that could bring down the price into the $25-40.00 range.

I just cruised e-bay a little, and 25-60 dollars is about right. But that is ultimately not important: I am glad I saved it from oblivion. It looks gorgeous now and in my mind it is worth 200 easily. Thanx for the info!

Hey guys, I'm very new to the lounge and am very glad to have found it. I'm in desperate search for a hat that matches the one Morgan Freeman wore at the end of the movie "Shawshank Redemption". I've included a pretty grainy picture, but you get the idea. I've hit brick wall after brick wall looking for this hat. Any help or ideas? Meanwhile, I got this cheap, stingy brim number yesterday to wear until I find "The One"
Here's Morgan's ultra cool hat:

And here's my meager contribution:

Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated. I have a fairly small budget to work with. Again, It's great to have found this forum and I hope to meet a lot of you soon! ~Tony
