Here is the Mallory lightweight I traded for...

Very nice, Rodkins. Falls into that "looks like it was made for you" category.

Thanks for the comments. FMW, not sure which ribbon you are referring to, but all are original. There were two Knox 40s in this Ebay lot - only picture I posted of the darker one is the last head shot. Aside from the brim length and the color, they are very much alike.

I was referring to the gray hat with the diamond crease. The ribbon appears to be brand new. Apparently not. Great hat.

Thanks!

... and look at that gorgeous bowler from Robert! Is that an inked relief impression on the sweatband? Spectacular details. I made a promise with myself not to buy any more bowlers, but I have such a weakness for them. Thanks for buying them for me and posting the great pictures.

The box has an insert and had this tucked underneath. The hat pre-dates the paper by around 10 to 15 years.

The shop was open nearly 100 years. Today, it's a wing place.

I'll give this a little steam to straighten it out.

The felt is incredibly rugged. I can see why others have described the Nutria Quality as a real work hat. It seems like the previous owner wore this one without any kind of shaping, so I put in a quick cattleman's crease/ center dent with side dents.

The owner certainly used the hat, as the sweat is salty, but it's still in great shape. He was also, apparently, around a size 7 1/4, as this thing had a lot of paper towels behind the sweat.

I'm still not sure how I like the looks of this style on me, but I'll keep it around for a little while. Noggin shots another day.

My new SuperDuper Hat!

Hi everyone! I'm a newbie to the forum but I've been developing quite the hat fetish lately so glad to be alongside others of my kind!

I bought this hat from a new Italian trio of designers called SuperDuper Hats based in Firenze. The concept was born after the three friends discovered a unique wooden hat blocker. Every piece is handmade by one of the three on a wooden hat block and has its own personality and character.

I bought the Rudolph hat and had it customized to be black on black. Received it 2 days later. I must say, I love it!

What do you guys think? (pictures were taken with the crappy iPhone camera)

Newbie needs advice to keep going in the right direction! :)

PS: The hat is available here: http://boticca.com/superduperhats/rudolph/

I am expanding my summer straw fedoras with a Tesi Comet. It's color is sand but it is more of a copper/brown. It has a tall tapered crown with a shallow c-crown. It looks great in person. My photos are not that good. The leather band and buckle are of a high quality and is nice for me to have a straw without a ribbon or a pugg. Variety is nice.
