The color is a deep, richly warm brown, and the ribbon has hints of marroon to it. Its really quite stunning! I'm still playing with rough creases, trying to decide what I like best before steaming it in.
That's one seriously awesome lid!

This is the Dobb's Cross Country I snagged on Ebay last week. It is a stunning hat! 6" crown, 2 1/4" brim. Soft and pliable and in really decent shape. I love this hat! I will post more pics once I find my camera.

Here's a tall straight crown.
Full 6" open crown. Liner is plain natural silk. Only marking is United Hatters of North America stamp and a small metal Rotary Badge on the inside. No sweatband. Quite dirty but in good condition.

Been researching this and it is the original 1911-12 Philadelphia design. The 8 spoke version was dropped in 1920.
