Is your hat vintage, or new?

There are plenty of Akubra fans here, and I doubt you could go wrong with either one. It just depends on what style you're after.

As for Colorado, there are several custom hatters throughout the state, but as for other retail hat shops, I really don't know. Maybe some of our folks from the Denver area know of some up that way.

...by the pics on that ad. It looks more like a canvas rather than a felt.....notice the stitching on the brim? [huh]

Thanks Brad! I've looked in all the thrift and antique stores in town without any luck. I have also hit the yard and estate sales with no luck. My fedora is a vintage Dobbs 7 1/2 I got BIN on ebay. It is a dark mossy green that goes
well with a suit I have. I really like the Akubra Sydney, Federation or Squatter
hat. Do you prefer vintage or new fedoras?

Not mine...

My wife's new hat. It's a deadstock Dobbs Gotham that she spotted in South Carolina and has talked about non-stop since. I got it for her as an early birthday present.
