Patience pays ...

Just before Christmas I won one of those Bulgarian Borsalinos on eBay. I've purchased two others from this seller, so I was prepared to wait for its arrival. But time went on - and on - and on ... Finally got a tracking number and it hit New York on January 2. The seller offered a refund, but it landed on my doorstep yesterday!

I think it was well worth waiting for! Condition's great, except for a slight discoloration of the brim binding in front. Very tolerable. More on the Borsalino Brotherhood when I get my camera charged.

For those of you who noticed my sparse posting lately, I've been sucked into making teddy bears (of all things!) for a charity auction. It's kept my fingers busy and off the mouse and keyboard. My bank account's better off without eBay .....

Good to see you back, of course, with a great new hat.

I noticed JtL just arrived as well. How curious. :D

Welcome back Sue! Sounds like a worthy reason for skipping out on the lounge. Do the bears have hats?

Bears and hats

These are made from re-cycled vintage fur coats. The first is mink and the second is raccoon. I'm also working in beaver and muskrat.

No hats - their heads are an odd shape for those sample hats one sees on eBay. I may have to get into custom millenry for them lol .

What's the wording of that part of the bible where the lord more greatly rejoices in the return of one who has strayed...???
