This one arrived yesterday: A really nice Knox Premier in dark sage green with a beautiful tri-colored ribbon. Very soft, thin and pliable felt. Given the plastic protector on the liner and the original $20 tag that is still behind the sweat I'd think it's probably a late 50's model - anyone wanting to chime in here? The hat has a few moth nibbles, but I can easily live with those.

Crown (creased): 5" 1/2
Brim: 2" 3/4

I went with a teardrop for now.

E.T. - Yes, it is! I was a little scared before it arrived, as the seller stated the brim was 3", which I thought might be just a tad too wide (but then my cream Borso has a 2 7/8" brim ). In the end it turned out to be a mere 2 3/4", and that's a brim width I'm perfectly comfortable with.

And about my avatar - I recovered the hat from the mob but I lost my head instead...

I haven't tried to clean the sweat yet and the dent is very shallow. Not my size (7 1/4) so it may wind up in classifieds. It had to leave with me.
