Just like Stefan @steur I like french hats too. The quality is outstanding.
Today ik picked up this Supra Tirard Frères in light grey/dove color. I am very impressed by this quality too, knowing that this is a hat from the 30's/40's. I detect 1 mothspot on it, but not a serieus damage. I think a great find.

Also like the two beasts holding the crest for the logo! The art work from that era is so much more impressive than any other.

New Mallory in Camel color. The color in these pics isn’t representative of the hat on my head.
I’ve always wondered about pleating a grosgrain ribbon, but thought it may be uncouth? Mallory didn’t seem to mind.
Maybe I will try it.

The pleats generally do look nice in that pug styling.

Here is a recent pick up that I haven’t been able to find additional information on. It was manufactured in 2011 and everything seems top quality. The fur felt is very dense and velvety soft. The liner, hat band, and sweatband seem to be superior to Royal or Royal Deluxe offerings of the same era but there are no quality markings on the hat. Has anyone run across a hat like this?

I answered my own question using google image search on a side view of the hat itself. It turns out that TCHP on the label stands for Tehachapi Loop. Google found a matching photo here in the lounge from 2017 and one from a current retailer:

On a side note, the amount of compute power, storage, and bandwidth to be able to search every image on earth to find these two matches nearly instantaneously is truly mind boggling!

Team AI takes the win this time but I’m sure loungers will get the next one .
