I don't see (or don't notice) many of the thin binding ribbon Whippets, Bob. Mine is just a hair under 1/4 inch on top and bottom.

This was a new hat to me: Van Dyke Custom Hatters. It’s an Imperial Fifteen dove gray homburg with great felt. A peak behind the sweatband answered a lot of questions.

I broke it along with twisting my knee and cracking a couple of ribs playing soccer. I guess it's time to hang up the goal keeping gloves

Here’s another Emko for sale. Was thinking mine was the only one!
Same seller listed this one today for the same starting price. I put in an offer of $101 for mine and she accepted.
She said her Dad’s size was 6 7/8 and this one is—as you can see by the size sticker.
Mine was reported to be the same size but turned out to be size 7 1/8.
It’s been successfully sized up to 7 1/4+ now.
I still have to sew back on the campaign bow.
A little odd that there were two hats just alike, same brand in two sizes. Maybe back in the 20s/30s her Dad bought one for his wife and one for himself?

I wonder if most Whippet buyers would even notice the differences ... just seeing the label and that's enough. Not to take away from it at all. I like this hat better than a "real" Whippet personally.
