Here are the Borsalino brothers...

The color up above or on the second two photos is more accurate.

Your guess on the model has to be better than mine. The hat fits me so knowing is not critical.

This Marque Grand Luxe (six star) does not fit me so will eventually go to a new home (unless my wife or daughter steals it first). I'm tempted to keep it just to pet it.

Two very nice finds, Bob. Good to hear one of them fits you.

Beautiful hats, Bob. The first one is a Gorasgu. I have four in my Borsalino list with the number 706 or 706P and all of them are Gorasgu models.

Thanks for the verification Stefan!

Those Torino models are very nice. Great soft felt and a felted edge as well.

I've had a couple of these Torinos pass through before. Very nice, but none have fit (and they are a bit on the stingy side).

Two very nice finds, Bob. Good to hear one of them fits you.

Thanks Steve!

Biltmore Imperial homburg in size 62cm or 7 3/4 US. It’s an odd little hat. The appearance belies the supposed 2 5/8” wide brim. The color, willow, is why I bought it. It’s a very thick and robust felt even for a Biltmore, and not quite what I was expecting. The binding has a woven/finished edge, but the crown ribbon is petersham. The felt color shifts from light gray to a pale mint green, but the green is not as strong as Winchester’s version of willow. The shape and proportions are not my usual thing, but it’s an interesting hat all the same.

That is a dandy of a hat, Brent. The subtle green hue certainly brings out the overall light grey and white colours.

Great looking tight shape to it.

Cavanagh Milan made in Italy. This one also fits. I can come up with some sort of band.

The Cavanagh factory sticker is on the inside of the sweat (you can see the corner of it). Just a reorder number and the size.
You're on a roll Bob with these recent finds. Even though only a few of them fit, I'm sure you'll find some good homes for the rest.

Your service to us who are somewhat smaller headed is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Joe! Not sure what I think about that Lee brim treatment. Cool to have the model documented anyway.

Thanks Steve! What my wife doesn’t keep will hit the ‘Bay. I’ll probably wait until Spring on the straws.

So I have finally taken some pictures of my Cavanagh Paddock in Loden that arrived earlier in the week. As I have been told it is kind of a chameleon color. With my bright indoor lights it is a bright green with brown overtones. I had posted a picture of me outside on an extremely overcast day and it looks more dark moss color. It was advertised as NOS and it shows signs of such your can see the impression from the sweat band from the hat that was on top of it. The sweat band feels dry but not brittle. It has ~4 3/4" crown and ~2 1/8" brim. 20221112_185825~2.jpg 20221112_185836~2.jpg 20221112_185900_HDR~2.jpg 20221108_111729_HDR~2.jpg 20221107_171638.jpg 20221107_171721.jpg

Impressive haul, Bob. This Lee is a very interesting one. Don't think we've seen this brim treatment before. The Crofut looks glorious. Is that a suede finish to the felt?

Thanks Reggie! I'm afraid the box will have to live with the tape. I tried to pull a bit of it and it was taking the color layer off the cardboard.

Thanks Stefan! The C&K seems like it has a suede finish. Very touchable.
