Dobb's in grey/brown.
Thank you!Great additions Marcel
Wonderful find, Steve. The green hue of the grey velour stands out nicely under natural lighting.J. Hückel´s Söhne "Standard" "Crystall Velour", FP 5 1/2, possibly late 1920s early 1930s. The Gray Green "Crystall Velour" has a great finish and easily dry creases. The liner was very stained so I had to remove and bleach so it lost a good amount of color. The "Crystall Velour" is in good condition which is the most important. The Paper Label is JHS Soft Felts Post WWI Type 1. The Sweatband has unique green cord band.

Congrats on the new bespoke, Robert. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing more of it.View attachment 434389
A carton was delivered today, I've been waiting a while for it.

It's not actually as blue as my phone camera has distorted it to.

That's better, it's cream although the flash has bleached it somewhat.

Gamble & Gunn are a small company who will make bespoke hats, and with a head my size, that's a must.

In the sunlight without the flash you can see the true colour. You might be seeing more of this hat.
Thank you kind Sir, as always, you are a true gent.Congrats on the new bespoke, Robert. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing more of it.
Steve, Thank you! It does look different in that outdoor lighting.Wonderful find, Steve. The green hue of the grey velour stands out nicely under natural lighting.
A quality touch by Hückel to give the sweatband a green cord and ribbon.
Brent, Thanks! I hopefully can find some more. What a hat! The old velours really are grand and yours are the cream of the crop! Congrats, Steve.
Marcel, Great find! Based on the Paper Label it was made by Tonak (Czechoslovakia). It possibly could be 1970s maybe a bit earlier.
Great new addition…. Looks sharp on you Robert. CongratulationsView attachment 434389

Marcel, The Hat was made by Tonak but possibly for a English source. Tonak made hats for many different sources. The largest in the same time period was FWS Köln with the Stenton mark. Today FWS Köln are Stetson Europe. Thanks, so it's not an english hat? That is what i thought
