Well....are you sure? You clearly aren’t from California or you’d know you aren’t allowed to ask that. I think Marcel’s nails are very pretty.

Couldn't he have at least painted them Giants orange and black?
Absolutely! So glad it fits you but collection worthy even if it didn't.
GO GIANTS!
In the "pros" column, it looks great! On the down side, in the "cons" column there's that "genuine imported fur" thing. Could have been a decent "work/casual wear" hat if it was an adult size.Bonar-Phelps 10X with 5 1/2” open crown and 2 5/8” bound edge brim. The felt isn’t great, but it is reasonably thin. The sweatband feels cheap and like it would easily tear. I’m listing this on eBay with the goal of just recouping my costs...

Fabulous. Congratulations StevenI’m wearing my new custom Gannon inspired OR/LBJ today. It arrived this past week. It’s beaver in Camel with a 2-1/2” brim. Brown liner and antique color sweatband.

Have a safe and blessed weekend!

That's a great find, John. Quite a bit of crown on it and a nice shallow flange. This Rolnick, sans Byer, was in need of a buyer when I happened on by so I buy'd it.
Advertised as quite large (like the size of a barge) but it fit like a glove when I try'd it.

More pics in the Byer & Rolnick hats thread. No more bad verse.
Nice find and a lovely hat, David. I recognize that feeling that the wider brims feel a bit out of place in a city environment.A 1960s 3X OR with a few moth nibbles and a couple scuffs but otherwise perfect. I love this hat—my other OR has a 2 7/8 brim and this is 2 3/4. That 1/8 makes all the difference—this is really the max that I’m comfortable with, at least for walking around NYC.
Enjoy the day!
David

More in the Knox thread.
Picked this one up yesterday, from Buckaroo Hatters in Covington Tn. 100% beaver in Navy Blue.
( thanks for the idea Brent, @deadlyhandsome )
Never thought I’d like a blue hat, but it turned out well to me. Was trying to copy the old Stetson Big Four.
Edit, I forgot to give dimensions, it came out just shy of 6” crown, and also just shy of 4” brim after the curl.

Thanks Brent. I swear I never thought I’d want a blue hat! Just don’t seem cowboy!! But after seeing the one you posted a while ago, I thought it would be ok after all. Plus my wife said I needed a blue hat! Sooooo…..Wow! That sure came out great, and you wear it well.
