Pilgrim Sable Finish in a wonderful greenish gray. Always a sucker for a wind trolley and love the subtle detail of the two additional rows of stitching in the brim behind the binding. Thanks @Miamibruno !
Collins Wien "Prima Smoking Hat"
Bob, Thanks! I haven't either. I think it's similar to the Tuxedo Hats that pop up here from time to time. Definitely on the formal side.
Here we have a cool "Oviatt Model Made In England" originally purchased, according to a family member, at the Oviatt's store in the 40's for $15 (Oviatt price tag under sweat) by the actress Ann Richards. Hat's been lingering for sale online for ages so I finally had to rescue it. Besides lovely color, felt's soft and luxurious. I really dig the no BS bash and style that Ms Richard's went with: who knows how many cads had drinks dumped on their head while she was wearing it.

Hückel´s Söhne "Extra" "Leicht", French Point 5 1/2, 110 grams, possibly late 1920s. The Black Felt has a Smooth Finish and is light weight and very pliable. The the Snap Brim with Binding is almost 3 inches in width. Condition is very good with all original components including the Crown Patch.

Fabulous hat, Steve. Good that it is saved for posterity.Echter Rockel Velour, No Paper Label, measures ~ 58 cm, possibly late 1920s. The the Gray Velour is very pliable with a great amount of gloss. The Crown is ~ 6 inches Open with a ~ 2 1/2 inch Brim. The black Bat Wing like Bow is really fantastic.

That is a lovely Borsalino you picked up there. Pity about the size. The Borsolino in this batch is really nice. It's a shame it doesn't fit. The have such wonderful felt... View attachment 350046 View attachment 350047 View attachment 350048 View attachment 350050 View attachment 350051
It's a cool look, Randy. Nice!A new Sunbody bowler by way of Robert @belfastboy - Wolfbrae Hatters. Robert updated this one with a leather sweat and a deep purple grosgrain ribbon. It is hard to put a D'Orsay curl on thick straw, so we decided on a more traditional "western-look" curled brim.

Looks good on you, Steve. The ribbon makes it.Very modern Wegener. Felt is rather stiff and the style is a kind of Fedora western. I fell for the ribbon and hat liner. One of the Stefan batch of hats that arrived at the end of June. Didn't think I'd be able to wear it this early at the end of the summer. Very autumnal like weather in Denmark right now. Very cool find, Steve. Vienna might have had the market for tuxedo/smoking hats (it likely still has).Collins Wien "Prima Smoking Hat", 58 cm, possibly late 1950s. The black Felt has a nice Smooth Finish and is pliable so easily dry creases. The under Brim is reinforced with binding material so a formal Camber form worn Brim Up. The overall quality is high and the condition is excellent. Definitely a unique find.

Nice catch, Marcel.Black Baldini in great condition, except from the lining inside. I already have a black Baldifino, so i wanted this one, because it's practically the same hat made for hatshop Jos van Dijck in the netherlands. Nice quality felt.
